12JAN2011 Accumulation: 4in

Wilmington actually got measurable snow last night!  Weatherfolk called for 4 - 8 inches, so we got 4.  With the Snowpocalypse upon us, the streets were strewn with crap!  Strewn, I tell you!!

A small child's wooden rocking chair.

Two meticulously placed and now water damaged wooden chairs.

Close up of one of the meticulously placed and now water damaged wooden chairs.
Given a nice cushion, I would be tempted to abscond with it and its sister chair.

Short brown trashcan with lid.  Powerful in its simplicity.

Clockwise from left, Recycle Bin, Dual Cones, Lone Cone, and Broken Heart Chair.

Close-up:  the Broken Heart Chair, slightly unstable.
Double meanings abound.

Close-up:  the Recycle Bin.
Recycling day is Monday.  Today is Wednesday.  No excuses.

Close-up:  the Dual Cones and the Lone Cone.
They would have been jealous if everyone else in the shot got a close up and they didn't.

A Pleather Chair.
Yes, Pleather.

Green plastic chair face-down.
Much like hanging plastic bags and rags out of the window of a broken down car on the side of the road makes one immune to parking tickets or towing (within reason), placing this chair face-down in the street says, "Hey, don't be upset with me.  I didn't put this chair here because I WANTED to!"

The rare and lovely powder-blue folding chair.

HOMER BUCKET!!

The final discovery of the day was contributed by Jim.  Observe it with great awe and wonder.

Want a close-up?  Here ya go:

Yes.  It is indeed a potted plant.
